Plastic surgeons use facial implants to improve and enhance facial contours. The implants may be in a solid form or in an injectable form.  The solid implants are manufactured from a variety of materials and they can be used to help strengthen a jawline or bring the chin or cheekbones into balance with the rest of the face.  Injectable soft tissue fillers, most commonly injectable collagen or fat, can help fill in facial laugh lines, smile lines, crow’s feet or even enhance thin lips.  Just as fillers can help to fill in certain areas, the removal of fat from certain areas, such as the neck, can also improve facial contour and help restore self esteem.  As with all of my cosmetic procedures I strive to avoid an over treatment with the implants and injectable fillers so as to avoid that “done” or “operated on” appearance.
